Connections, Inc. The Beginning - I was the news media's knight in shining armor (See links at bottom left if you care to know why) and so people kept calling to find out how and why we, the group of activist Porter survivors, had been able to bring the vile ex-priest to justice. After a few hundreds phone calls and letters it dawned on us that we could help more people more efficiently with an organization. So we formed Survivor Connections in early 1993, an all-volunteer non-profit run by survivors. Now it's 2007 and we're still here. We created the first ever database of reported perpetrators in '93. It is still the only one of its type. (See the link at left) For many years we published and mailed The
Survivor Activist, our newsletter. Dollars
willing, we shall do so again. Now I am in the process of putting old
and new articles online on this site. On our postal mailing list are thousands of survivors and their supportive non-offender relatives, people from all fifty USA states and many other countries. To be on our mailing list, please “snail” mail a self-addressed, stamped, business-sized envelope with 2 ounces US postage on it. Include your name and address. Please do not send information for our
